Hang on to your Santa hats, Christmas is coming!
From November 16th until January 12th, be sure you explore the amazing light displays that make up the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls. Go for a walk (with hot cocoa of course), through Queen Victoria Park or stay cozy with a blanket in the car as you drive along the beautifully scenic and illuminated Niagara Parkway.
The signature 8km long route travels though beautiful landscapes of the Niagara Parks, Dufferin Islands and surrounding tourist districts to transform the city into a winter wonderland. Some of the light displays include the iconic Zimmerman Fountain, fifteen three-dimensional Canadian Wildlife displays, and the world’s largest Canadian-American Flag.
In addition to the break-taking displays, the Winter Festival of Lights has several events that take place each season including Opening Ceremonies, weekly fireworks shows, nightly Falls illumination, the Sparkle Lighting Awards and the New Year’s Eve Concert.
